I am NOT a contractor doing home inspections on the side to increase business for my remodeling company. There is NO conflict of interest when I inspect, for I am a full time professional inspector who has no financial interest or potential for gain from any of the findings published in my inspection report.

I am a certified professional building analyst, trained and certified by Building Professional Institute.

I was the City Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer for two Missouri cities.

I am a board certified inspector and, in addition to all of the qualifying criteria, I have also passed a criminal background check required by the Master Inspector Certification Board.

I limit my inspections to only one home inspection per day. No hurrying through your inspection to get to the next one. You have my undivided attention for as long as it takes me to complete an accurate, thorough and unbiased analysis of your property (usually 3 to 3 ½ hours, on site).

Following your inspection, I will carefully analyze the information that I have collected and will provide you with a report that is comprehensive and very easy to read and understand that includes what I found in the inspection and photographs of the areas of concern noted in the report. Your report will be made available to you on line within 24-hours of your inspection.

With you present during the inspection, I will walk you through and show you any areas of concern and discuss them with you.

Several weeks or months may transpire between the date of your home inspection and the actual date you move into your new home. After settling in to your new home and upon your invitation, I will make a second trip for free to review your report with you.

I am also available to perform inspections in the early evening and on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am not a member of any real estate associations or real estate companies. I have no political alliances or interests in the real estate community. (I don't sell houses.)

I am not in the business of home repair and do not benefit financially from the repair of any defects noted in my inspection report.

First time home buyers benefit from the extra time that is taken during the inspection to answer all of their questions and to walk them through the house, after the inspection, with a verbal report that covers the findings. Being "educated" on the condition of the house is what most people want and I strive to meet that need for them.

I do not pay real estate agents, brokers or any other person(s) for referring me to their clients nor do I pay them money to be listed as a preferred provider.

I have performed over eight hundred home inspections on city dwellings, rural dwellings and commercial buildings since 2004.

I have been exclusively contracted to perform inspections of residential and commercial buildings for appraisers, lenders and insurance companies since 2005.

I am a member in good standing of the following professional organizations:

Southwest Missouri Association of Building Officials.

I am authorized to perform the required home inspections for people in Newton, Barry, McDonald and Stone counties who are purchasing a home under the USDA Rural Development programs.

I adhere to the strict code of ethics of the and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).

I am contracted by two different engineering firms to provide certification for foundations for HUD/VA manufactured homes and regular homes.

In addition to my practical experience, I have completed nationally accredited formal home inspection training.

I am licensed by the State of Missouri to perform inspections for the presence of wood destroying organisms such as termites.

I am certified to collect well water samples and transport them to laboratories for analysis. I am also certified to report on the visible conditions on the site that could affect the quality of water in the well.

I am a certified fire safety inspector, trained and certified by NIFAST.

I am certified to perform home inspections of buildings affected by federally declared national disasters.

I fulfill a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education every year.
